As it was expected the proactive approach is less scalable regarding the number of nodes in the ad hoc network. This is because the higher the number of nodes, the higher the number of retransmissions which are required to propagate GWADV messages to the whole network. This is why usually proactive approaches has been said in the literature to have too much overhead.
